Artist's Comments

Alright, many people have been asking how I have been doing the dragging of the items in my latest devatation "Dress Dr. Drakken". So, i made a quick tutorial. It's pretty big, and things may confuse you ^^;; If you have any questions, feel free to ask, and I will try to answer them as best as I can!!! It is quite complicated to explain when I am not right there besides you xDD;;

Anyways, this is for Macromedia Flash MXProfessional 2004 (but, aside from a few differences, this tutorial can help with lots of other Flash programs I should hope...

The Actions Code, which moves the Items that you may (eg: use to dress a character) is (DO NOT COPY THIS, JUST TYPE IT INTO THE ACTIONS PANEL):

on(press){
startDrag ("instance");
}
on(release){
stopDrag ();
}

(It will automatically return for you....)
DO NOT FORGET TO GIVE IT AN INSTANCE NAME (look at the tutorial) AND PUT THAT INSTANCE NAME WHERE IT SAYS instance IN THE CODE!!!!!!!!!!

Remember.. any questions, ask, also screenshots would be very helpful so i could see.... :) HOPE THIS HELPS!!!!

I will try that!!! The only problem for me would be that Flash is on my other computer, so I would either have to write the code down or run back and forth between my computers:XD:.

Copy and paste it, and the tutorial into a word or other word processing document, and then transfer that (via floppy disk or cd) to your other Pc, save it on the harddrive and , there you have it.
